This course is designed for people who have an expired Bronze Cross Award. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for recertification. You will learn new skills to be recertified, including: updated water rescue techniques CPR skills testing your knowledge with an exam Prerequisite: Previously held a Bronze Cross Award (please bring proof of certification on the first day) and a current Alberta workplace approved Intermediate First Aid Certification Please bring: Swimsuit, towel Forms/waivers: None

Swim & Lifesaving Instructor recertification - teens & adults

Saturday, August 29, 2026 • 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

After completing this course, you will have a renewed certification to teach Swim for Life® swimming lessons, Canadian Swim Patrol, Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross courses. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for certification. You will: learn lifesaving techniques including First Aid and CPR be introduced to leadership and teaching skills take part in practical training Prerequisite: Swim for Life® 2015 Mandatory update and First Aid and Resuscitation Content 2016 mandatory update/2021 Bronze update Please bring: Swimsuit, towel Forms/waivers: None

Birdwatching class & walk - parent & kid

Through an indoor presentation and an outdoor walk, you and your kid will learn the unique sounds, shapes and colours of local birds.
