About this event

Learn advanced lifesaving skills that will prepare you for lifeguarding. Bronze Cross is needed for all advanced training programs, including National Lifeguard and Instructor certifications. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for certification. You will focus on learning: safe supervision techniques for aquatic facilities strengthening and expanding current lifesaving skills teamwork and communication for preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies Prerequisite: Bronze Medallion award (does not need to be current) and an Alberta workplace approved Basic First Aid or higher (does not need to be current, however a current Intermediate First Aid is recommended for employment readiness). Please bring: Swimsuit, towel Forms/waivers: None
