Be introduced to beginner sailing skills through a variety of on-land and on-water activities. Learn more about the history of the area as you are sailed around the Glenmore reservoir on our 22-foot Katalina. No sailing experience is required. Kids and teens will learn intermediate sailing skills in a 420 dinghy, They will: sail in winds up to 40 km/hr sail in open water with a partner learn basic racing knowledge refine their propulsion, direction and balance skills Prerequisite: CANSail 2 or CANSail 2 Opti, must weigh more than 85 lbs. CANSail 6: summer day camp (11 - 17 years)

Wednesday, July 22, 2026 • 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Campers who have previous sailing experience will increase their sailing knowledge on the water in a 420 dinghy and during in-class learning. During this two-week day camp, campers will work on: sailing in winds 40 km/hr and above team work and racing skills advanced sailing curriculum spinnaker and trapeze skills Prerequisite: CANSail 5 Please bring: A healthy lunch and snack, refillable water bottle, any necessary medication, closed-toe non-slip footwear, a full change of clothes, rain gear and sunscreen. In this beginner two-week sailing camp, campers will learn how to sail in a 420 dinghy, while also working on their teamwork skills. Campers will work on: sailing in winds up to 30 km/hr learning how to propel a boat direction and steering balancing the sailboat Prerequisite: No previous experience required and must weigh more than 85 lbs.
