About this event

You will learn lifesaving techniques that will allow you to teach Swim for Life® swimming lessons, Canadian Swim Patrol, Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross courses. You will: learn lifesaving techniques including First Aid and CPR be introduced to leadership and teaching skills take part in practical training Prerequisite: 15 years old and Bronze Cross or higher (candidates must present this award on the first day of the course). Apprenticeship: In course. This course requires 100% attendance and participation to complete. Please bring: Swimsuit, towel Forms/waivers: None

Bronze Cross® recertification - teens & adults

This course is designed for people who have an expired Bronze Cross Award. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for recertification. You will learn new skills to be recertified, including: updated water rescue techniques CPR skills testing your knowledge with an exam Prerequisite: Previously held a Bronze Cross Award (please bring proof of certification on the first day) and a current Alberta workplace approved Intermediate First Aid Certification Please bring: Swimsuit, towel Forms/waivers: None
