Bronze Medallion® - teens & adults

Learn the four components of water rescue, which are judgement, knowledge, skill and fitness. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for certification. You will be introduced to lifesaving skills such as: tows and carries various defense and release methods for rescues of conscious and unconscious victims stroke efficiency and endurance being certified in CPR-C and AED Prerequisite: Bronze Star or 13 years old Please bring: Swimsuit, towel Forms/waivers: None

Your preschooler will continue to improve their confidence in the water by working on their level 1 skills and being introduced to level 2 skills. They will continue to work on and learn: blowing bubbles floating jumping in the water breathing out underwater flutter kicks Prerequisite: None Please bring: Swimsuit, towel, swim diaper and plastic pants if not toilet trained. You will create a bond and learn: safe entries and exits arm and leg movement blowing bubbles how to hold their breath underwater assisted starfish floats Prerequisite: None Please bring: Swimsuit, towel, swim diaper and plastic pants for all kids under 35 months. If you don’t have plastic pants, they can be purchased at the pool. Forms/waivers: None

Your preschool will continue to improve their level 3 skills while also being introduced to level 4 skills in this swimming lesson. In this single class, kids will be introduced to a variety of basic canoe skills and strokes. They will learn: how to properly fit and wear a lifejacket holding the paddle and steering J-stroke, forward and backward strokes prying Prerequisite: None Please bring: Weather appropriate clothing, water bottle, snacks, extra layers and socks, backpack and apply sunscreen and insect repellant before drop-off Forms/waivers: Assumption of risk and informed consent
