In a community-oriented setting, those living with and beyond cancer will focus on progressing their fitness. Recommended for those who have completed the Alberta Cancer Exercise (ACE): Maintenance Level 1 program at least once and are currently physically active and ready for the next level to continue to progress fitness. Through moderate to high intensity exercises, you will work on increasing overall strength, balance and stability, as well as mental wellness. As a continuation of the ACE: Maintenance Level 1 class, you will take part in: two moderate to high intensity 60-minute group exercise classes each week circuit style class combining aerobic and strength training exercises, with the appropriate progression to further improve your fitness and wellness beyond what was achieved in the ACE: Maintenance Level 1 class Prerequisite: Recently participated in Alberta Cancer Exercise: Maintenance Level 1 program (at least once). This class is appropriate for those that have completed treatment (apart from taking an oral hormone therapy) and all other chronic conditions are considered medically stable.
