Bronze Medallion® - teens & adults

Monday, August 10, 2026 • 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Learn the four components of water rescue, which are judgement, knowledge, skill and fitness. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for certification. You will be introduced to lifesaving skills such as: tows and carries various defense and release methods for rescues of conscious and unconscious victims stroke efficiency and endurance being certified in CPR-C and AED Prerequisite: Bronze Star or 13 years old prior to the last day of the course Please bring: Swimsuit, towel Forms/waivers: None

In this four day course, kids and teens will develop leadership skills that can prepare them for opportunities at school and in the community. Learn advanced lifesaving skills that will prepare you for lifeguarding. Bronze Cross is needed for all advanced training programs, including National Lifeguard and Instructor certifications. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for certification. National Lifeguard - teens & adults

Become a certified lifeguard through in-pool and classroom learning. Full attendance is required and a practical test must be passed for certification. You will: expand on the skills and judgement learned in Bronze Cross practice lifesaving techniques take part in rescue training Prerequisite: Bronze Cross award (does not need to be current) and an Alberta workplace approved Intermediate First Aid or higher (does not need to be current, however a current Intermediate First Aid is recommended for employment readiness).
